Is it one of those?Princess Leahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217157534383672867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-14230985063729271152012-01-18T18:35:53.908-05:002012-01-18T18:35:53.908-05:00tIf you have oily skin, then buy the Kiehl's o...tIf you have oily skin, then buy the Kiehl's oil-free restorative gel. I think that's the name. It comes in a small blue, glass container. What I love about it, is that after you put it on you get this glow. But should you or someone else touch your face, your skin will feel slightly sticky. Also . . . In my opinion, you don't necessarily notice the effect of the moisturizer until the end of the day. By then, the stickiness has worn away and you get soft skin.

You know, Elta MD also has a really good moisturizer. I have dry skin so for me it never really did much. But it's the type that comes out as a sort of gel/cream and when you put in on your face it immediately gets absorbed into your skin. I can find the name of the product if you like. As for foundation . . . I don't use it so I wouldn't know. Sorry.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12719668629250630340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-67642581553650069362012-01-18T16:49:39.465-05:002012-01-18T16:49:39.465-05:00Yeah! Winters I do; I like tinted moisturizers but they haven't been behaving lately.

I haven't tried either yet; I'm currently using a Cetaphil moisturizer. Do you like the Kiehl's? I'll give that a whirl next.

I just spent my day agonizingly trying to find a new foundation (ripping hair out).Princess Leahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217157534383672867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-60954929587116996122012-01-18T01:14:25.082-05:002012-01-18T01:14:25.082-05:00I know!! The other good one (I think) is one from Perricone MD. But it's even more expensive. I think it might go on slightly sheerer (but it has a beige tint).

Anyhoo, I'm still looking for a good moisturizer becuase regardless of how good Elta MD is it still drys my skin out. I have the moisturizer from CeraVe (which I use at night) and the oil-free one from Kiehl's. Have you tried either one?

So what you're saying is that in the winter you use a moisturizer with SPF in lieu of the Elta MD sunscreen?Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12719668629250630340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-64027421771101472792012-01-17T14:21:51.018-05:002012-01-17T14:21:51.018-05:00Oh, no no no! I just discovered it this summer and I am in LOVE!

Secondly, in the winters simple sunscreen isn't enough; I need moisture. For the day, I wear a moisturizer with SPF; at night, I wear other anti-aging creams, but not with SPF.

I'll have to post my favorite nighttime creams soon.Princess Leahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17217157534383672867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-27977150619198012122012-01-17T13:27:21.103-05:002012-01-17T13:27:21.103-05:00Oh, I wear sunscreen from Elta MD (before that it ...Oh, I wear sunscreen from Elta MD (before that it was Shishiedo, which is totally transparent but leaves your skin feeling like paper mache).

My point was that because I already wear sunscreen, when it comes to moisturizers that I wear at night to sleep, I don't like the idea of those products also having the SPF chemicals that regular sunscreens have . . .Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12719668629250630340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6017927177231080668.post-86660835289337532982012-01-17T09:02:53.638-05:002012-01-17T09:02:53.638-05:00I get my products mostly from Vitacost.com - the l...I get my products mostly from Vitacost.com - the link in the post takes you there.

Many of the products claim to have less questionable ingredients, but one still has to go through the ingredient list to make sure.

SPF is a must, every dermatologist (currently) agrees.
