Does Maisie just have one facial expression? I don't watch Game Of Thrones but she was a repeate guest character on Doctor Who last year and it seems like her face never moves!
*Eye roll* You're missing the point. Being an "-ist," such as sexist, or racist, tends to mean something negative. In "Last Man Standing," Mike calls himself a humanist; "I hate everyone equally."
Of course women are entitled to equal pay and equal voice. For that I have to be a feminist? If I felt the same way about other races I don't get a philosophic label for being ethical and moral. It's considered a given.
A person who is gifted or talented or brilliant is something else. It isn't their worldview or personal philosophy, that has to do with inborn ability. Not exactly comparable.
Yes, yes, yes!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was my argument, but a girl with a sword says it much better, no?

ReplyDeleteBy the way, her argument is stupid.
ReplyDeleteIf you label a person gifted they're not bad. If you label them exceptional they're not either (hopefully)
MGI: Never watched GoT. I've read the books.
