That's hilarious and disturbing all at once! She's basically saying, "Why did you wait for the man who makes you happy, when you could have settled for a miserable marriage instead? Because at least then you wouldn't have been an older single." It's like the aim is be married to someone rather than to have a happy and meaningful marriage.
