Boy, Am I Thick

Has anyone else had that moment when ceasing a certain standard practice suddenly opens the gates of promise?

I have just recently discovered that I can really stave off hair oiliness by using a nourishing shampoo (I like Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo and J.R. Liggett's Old-Fashioned Bar Shampoo), then NOT condition the roots AT ALL, only the ends of the hair.

It makes a ridiculous difference in keeping my hair light and shining, for much longer. Since I shampoo only twice a week, my hair just doesn't get oily. Oh, hoist by my own deep treatment!

Then quite by accident I discovered that if I don't comb after toweling my hair, then not blow-dry it at all: beach hair results.

After fifteen years I find this out!?!

I guess it's a good thing you figured this out before all your hair gets stuffed into a shaitel.. enjoy it while you can! hopefully not for long :)

I wish I would get those results but my hair frizzes up if I don't iron it. You don't have that problem when you let it air dry?

SIR: It frizzes a little, a lot more in August humidity, but that should be expected with beach hair. I do have two hair irons but I am leery of damaging my hair unless absolutely necessary. I've decided to embrace the big-hair look.

Have you tried a dab of argan oil? Rub a drop between your hands and run it over the dried hair; frizzines is due to lack of moisture.
