Red Soles . . . For Men?

The other Shabbos a young feller trotted by. His retreating figure was bestowing tantalizing flashes of red - I do not know if his shoes were authentic Louboutin or not, but his soles were the right color. Looked new, too.

Louboutin recently lost in court for sole (no pun intended) rights to the red sole, so he may have been wearing another brand.

But, in any case, are there any females out there who feel zealously protective of the red sole?

You and my friend "The Shoe Whore" would get along famously! She covets those red bottom soles with her very soul. I think its kind of weird on guys though (unless there is a secret lift inside to make him taller)

I wave at Louboutins from a distance. Since I wear flats, and flats are readily available for less than a mortgage payment, this is one indulgence yet to be had.

But it somehow seems wrong to have a young kid prance by in MY red soles . . .

The wife of the guy whose house i stayed at for rosh hashana had just gotten a pair of these for the chaggim. She could not stop going on about them. They are the fifth (!) pair of louboutins in her collection!

Louboutins have become more of an icon/status symbol shoe, rather than simply beautiful footwear. I have a fleet of cousins (and a sister) who pursue Louboutins, but the ones usually on sale are also the un-pretty ones.

Any sort of garment or shoe should be flattering first, not simply expensive.
